Mark White

“I have two objectives for this project; to change minds and save lives. Running, being in nature and part of a community have all contributed to my recovery from depression and maintained wellbeing. I want to share this experience with as many people as possible, celebrating what’s possible when we put our mind to it."

Meet this week's guest, Matt Bagwell: an endurance athlete who once was on the verge of taking his own life and pulled from the brink, and is now runnings 21 ultra marathons to raise funds and awareness for suicide prevention charity CALM. Run the Country Ultra will see Matt running through every county in England and there is an open invitation to people across England to join him on one of the 21 stages of the route.

Move with Gratitude host Mark White caught up with Matt during his incredible running journey, where Matt discussed how and when honing in on his gratitude became so instrumental in his recovery process, the power of 'choosing' to be grateful, and how to best extract meaning out of the simple moments in life.
