Mark White

We are incredibly excited to be continuing the conversation with Tyler Williams-Green, a London-based  runner and founder of the Outrunners Charity.

Tyler Williams Green originally founded the Outrunners charity 6 years ago in order to help runners feel more connected within the local Hackney community. From his years of working with young people across London, he noticed that there was a  serious lack of opportunities for the inspiring and ambitious young people of Hackney. With this in mind, he created the Outrunners, which now runs 4 youth running clubs, as well as the largest career event, 'Run Your Career', for young people aged 8-18 across Hackney (and is supported by Facebook, Lacoste and Birch).

The Outrunners also manages a youth mentoring programme, which helps match young people with mentors to support them with the transition into secondary school. This Spring, they are excited to be launching a new adult running club, with a focus on women of colour, with the aim of getting adults who are inactive, active.

In this episode, Move with Gratitude host Mark White and Tyler discuss how he first fell in love with running, how running has significantly impacted his life's direction, and the incredible power of community that has been born through his charity, the Outrunners.
